10 Unknown Animals Found off Antarctica
June 27th, 2010 by Jawad MasoodA large survey of Antarctic life was conducted back in year 2008 by scientist all over the world. New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research played a key role in this survey. They and other researchers collected 30,000 sea creatures—many new to science—during a 35-day census in Antarctic waters in February and March. The large-scale survey was part of the International Polar Year and Census of Antarctic Marine Life programs, which study the diversity of Antarctic marine life. Of many new species discovered, prior unknown to man, we are presenting ten.
This 19 inch long creature may be tunicate or a sea-squirt, say scientists. This mysterious animal was found floating 7218 feet below water surface in the Ross Sea off southern Antarctica.
Micronesia: A State Composed of 600 Islands

The name Micronesia derives from the Greek mikros, meaning small, and nesos, meaning island and the region is ideal for spending the vocations. Eyjafjallajokull (Volcano) Blowing Smoke Ring
June 12th, 2010 by Jawad MasoodEyjafjallajokull Volcano in Iceland: On May 1, 2010 a geologist Joseph Licciardi captured the Eyjafjallajokull volcano emitting beautiful ring of smoke. The ring lasted for about 5 minutes in atmosphere before disappearing. Joseph Licciardi reports that there is only one ring, this one, emitted by the volcano during the whole eruption period indicating that this is a rare event.
Vatican City is not a City, it is a Country
May 31st, 2010 by Umair ShahThe Vatican city, occupying an area of only 0.44 sq km, was built within the territory of Rome (capital of Italy) in 1929 with the purpose to establish and safeguard the clergymen. It is a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome. The Roman clergyman (who have highest rank among the Popes) runs the affairs of the city and serve their religion. The Apostolic Palace (also known as the Sacred Palace, the Papal Palace and the Palace of the Vatican) is the official residence of the Pope. The country has a total population of around 800 priests. A panel called the pontifical commission for Vatican City state elect the Pope for the five year period and the Pope acts as a sovereign in their decision making during that time period.
