French Artist Makes Beautiful Layered Sculptures – With Paper

Young Parisian artist and designer, Maud Vantours, loves working with paper and parchment, her love shows very clearly in her latest masterpiece: elaborate and colorful layered paper sculptures. The young artist masterfully transforms the colored paper into geometric designs, floral patterns, spirals, and oscillations and intricate motifs, all the while carefully cutting the paper and placing multiple layers upon layers. The result is beautiful shapes of flowers and other things, painstakingly worked upon for many hours, all in kaleidoscopic colors and shades.

“Colours, patterns and materials all have an important place in my work,” says the graduate of the Duperré school in Paris. “I love to create original graphics with multi-coloured and dreamlike landscapes.”
