It took five years, more than 30 million colorful glass beads and tons of patience to crochet this sublime and resplendent piece of artwork; a life sized kitchen covered every millimetre in glass beads. Liza Lou, a New York born artist, got her fame with this project back in 1996.

The reason it took five whole years to complete this project is the level of details that went into designing this set. She even had dishes in the sink covered with beads while a blue beaded water flows into them. Everything from refrigerator up to the dish washer are beaded with relevant color and textures. After the success of the project, she founded a studio collective with Zulu Artists in South Africa. You can see more works on her website. [via VisualNews]
